The History of Blue Chair

Blue Chair Entertainment began in the fall of 2002 as a label through which Nathaniel Jones could produce his cartoons, and later on, his CDs and stand-up comedy act.

The first Blue Chair production actually was created prior to Blue Chair's official creation - in a way, one could say that Blue Chair was created by a cow in the fall of 2001.

The event was a performance of "Once Upon a Wolf," a play in which various fairy tale creatures are brought together, and the stories get scrambled, and characters are stuck in each others stories. Nathaniel Jones was playing the cow from "Jack and the Beanstalk" in an elementary school gym, and as part of this role, when Jack pulls the cow onstage, he falls down During one of the falls, Nathaniel slammed his foot on the gym floor, and broke his big toe.He didn't realize this until that night when he realized that the toe was horribly swollen and bruised.

The next day he stayed home from school to see the doctor and have his toe examined. During that day, he decided to make a movie: "Foot Club." So he grabbed his camera, propped his feet up on a chair, and filmed "Foot Club," a parody of "Fight Club," that allowed him to make use of a badly beaten toe. "Foot Club" was also the first film released under the banner of Blue Chair in the fall of 2002.

Following "Foot Club," Blue Chair Entertainment turned into Blue Chair Records to produce "Nathaniel Jones' CD of Wonder and Enchantment." On the CD, in addition to sketch comedy and music, there was the third branch of Blue Chair - animation. Some of the more popular of the cartoons created by Blue Chair Entertainment include "I'm a Baby!/Breaking News," "Moses Goes Shopping," "A Story About Love," "The Warsome Foursome," and "A Brief Lesson on Hygiene."
